Overthinking? Here’s How to Hit Pause

  Ever find yourself stuck in a loop of “what ifs” and “should haves”? Overthinking can leave you feeling drained, anxious, or stuck in decision paralysis. But the good news is, you can take small steps to break the cycle . Here’s how to start: Step 1: Name it Recognise when your mind is spinning. Simply noticing that you’re overthinking can take some power away from it. Say to yourself, “Ah, my mind is stuck in a loop again.” Naming it creates awareness, and awareness is the first step toward change. Step 2: Take a 2-minute “brain break” Give your mind a short pause. Stretch, walk around, step outside for some fresh air, or grab a glass of water. Even two minutes away from your thoughts can help your brain reset and make space for clarity. Step 3: Jot it down Writing down your worries or thoughts helps you transfer them out of your head.
